Born in Seattle, John began his career with Seattle Mortgage in 1986 after graduating from the University of Washington with a degree in Economics. John was a top producer with the Mercer Island Branch which earned him the Branch Manager position at the Southcenter office. In the summer of 1997, John founded the Lake Union Branch and has built the office into one of the top loan production branches within Seattle Mortgage. Living, working and raising a family in the Pacific Northwest provides John with the perfect background to excel as one Seattle Mortgage’s top Loan Officers. When not working, John enjoys skiing, golf, scuba diving and coaching his three sons in youth sports.

About Me:

I am graduated from the University of Washington and have been involved in finance since 1994.  I became a licensed financial advisor in 1996 where I earned my Series 7, Series 63, and series 65.  I have earned Presidential status every year since joining Seattle Mortgage in 2001.  Seattle Mortgage Company is the largest independently owned mortgage company in the Northwest with 25 branches and over 100 loan officers.

Jim has been in the mortgage lending business since 1982, presently as Branch Operations Manager and Senior Loan Officer at the Lake Union Office. His other experience includes Vice President for Washington State of Citizens Mortgage, Inc. and Legislative Committee Chairman for the Washington Association of Mortgage Brokers. Jim assisted in drafting and refining State Legislation which still regulates the mortgage industry. He has received the WAMB “President’s Choice” award and the Seattle Mortgage Company's “President Club” award. Jim has underwritten loans with Citizens Mortgage, Seattle Mortgage and completed FHA Direct Endorsement Underwriting Training. Jim joined Seattle Mortgage in 1997 believing that becoming a “Mortgage Banker” has the most to offer his customers.
